POWERBOATING
(Level 1 & 2 - 2 days)
No previous experience necessary.
We will introduce you to basic boat handling and safety,
progessing to more advanced manoeuvres and
seamanship skills. The 2 day course is spent almost
entirely on the water with practical exercises backed by
relevant theory sessions. The syllabus includes boat
handling in confined spaces, picking up moorings,
anchoring, coming alongside, as well as high speed
manoeuvres involving emergency stops and man over
board.
The course teaches you how to be a courteous driver
(always appreciated by other water users) and
ultimately the skilful manoeuvres required for safe boat
handling.
SAFETY BOAT
Pre-requisite – Level 2 powerboat certificate
This 2 day course provides the skills required when acting as an escort, safety boat or coach boat for

helmsman. Towing techniques and rescue cover for sailing regattas and proper righting techniques
for catamarans, will ensure you have the appropriate knowledge should it be required. This course
has not to be missed if you have any level of involvement or responsibility within sailing clubs or other
waterbased activities.
