Our exceptional youth courses will ensure that your child learns to sail in a safe and caring environment. We aim to combine the RYA syllabus with our personal instruction to promote confidence on and off the water and for every child to leave us with a sense of accomplishment and a passion for sailing. And if all the RYA Youth Stages are completed, there is still plenty to learn!
With most children returning to us year after year, it is a pleasure spending time with the children as they grow into confident and happy young adults.

What could be more idyllic than sailing away for a picnic lunch? Weather permitting, we will head to a remote beach with our packed lunch and enjoy the satisfaction of safely navigating the Kyles of Bute. Sunbathing, stone skimming and even swimming ensures lunchtime is never dull. And if the weather is not suitable, we can safely return to our beach and chartroom at Carry Farm.
We offer children the opportunity to stay with us during their sailing week to get the most out of their time at Carry Farm. Residential places are limited to ten per week ensuring every child is cared for in a family environment, can feel at ease and have the confidence to learn new skills. Evenings are busy with weather appropriate activities from beach bonfires, sandy beaches, paddle races and our now famous "square game"! Wet weather has everyone inside relaxing with games, quizzes or perhaps a film night.
During the week, the children stay in the Bunkhouse which is attached to Carry Farm and are cared for by Fiona and Derek as part of their family. The instructors also stay on site and enjoy joining in with the evening activities. It does not take long for the children to be a close knit group enjoying each other's company both on and off the water.
